For the aspiring animator or rigger, a good tutorial can be the difference between success or disappointment in your creative process. Here I've collated a short list of some of the tools, sites and tutorials I've used in my work. Hopefully this is of use to some visitors to the site.
Character Rigging : The Puppet Rig
The Gnomon Workshop - Carlo Sansonetti
This is a fantastic tutorial, which gave me an enourmous amount of information on rigging workflow and techniques. It covers a full character setup, from bones all the way up tp the point of skinning. I'd highly recommend this DVD if you can get it. I was fortunate enough that my university had one (highly contested) copy.
